Mastercard at Vipluck — same network logic, same limits

From a player's point of view Mastercard and Visa behave almost identically in the Polish market: the same category code, the same issuer policies, the same two-tier refusal mechanism. Rather than repeat the story, this page focuses on the parts that differ in practice and on structuring a payout route that survives. The full lineup is on the payments page.

Debit, credit and prepaid behave differently

A debit card draws from an account the bank monitors directly, and it is the variant most often blocked outright on gambling merchants. A credit card adds a second layer: even where the network authorises, many issuers treat a gambling charge as a cash-equivalent transaction, which can change how interest is calculated from day one. A prepaid card carries no credit exposure but usually cannot receive payouts at all, which reintroduces the one-way problem described on the paysafecard page. Knowing which of the three sits in your wallet answers most questions before they arise.

The two refusal mechanisms, briefly

Payment service providers must refuse payments to entities listed in the Ministry of Finance register of domains offering gambling contrary to the Gambling Act. Independently of that, Polish banks apply their own risk policy to merchant category code 7995. Neither is a judgement on the cardholder, and neither is something operator support can override.

Building a withdrawal route that holds

  1. Verify the account fully at registration: identity document, address, ownership of the payment instrument.
  2. Nominate a second corridor before it is needed — a wallet or crypto.
  3. Keep the first withdrawal small to test the whole route end to end.
  4. Store the transaction confirmations; they are the only currency in a dispute.

What never changes

The cardholder must be the account holder. Funds return by the route they came in on, capped at the deposited amount, with any excess routed to a verified alternative. Verification precedes the first payout. And a decline at the till is not an argument to try a family member's card — that shortcut ends with a frozen balance rather than a faster payout.

Currency, quietly expensive

If the gaming account is not denominated in zloty, a card round trip crosses conversion twice: once at the operator, once at the issuer. On a 500 zl cycle that spread can exceed every other fee in the chain combined. Checking the account currency at signup, as described on the payments hub, removes the problem entirely rather than managing it.
