Complaints and dispute resolution
The most important sentence on this page belongs at the top rather than under heading five: a dispute with an operator holding no Polish permit will not be adjudicated by a Polish regulator. The Ministry of Finance supervises the permit market but is not a player advocate against an entity operating outside it. Knowing this before depositing is worth more than any guide read afterwards.
Why that is the case
The Gambling Act reserves online casino games for the state monopoly exercised by Totalizator Sportowy and allows private companies to obtain a permit for mutual betting only. An operator without a Polish permit is not under Polish supervision — and where there is no supervision there is no domestic appeal route. Neither the language of the site nor zloty accounting changes that.
The route that genuinely exists
- A ticket to operator support. In writing, with attachments, asking for a case number. Chat is for questions, not complaints.
- A formal complaint. If the answer does not resolve it, cite the specific clause of the terms and the earlier case number.
- Escalation to the licensing regulator. Its details sit in the operator footer; most jurisdictions run a complaint form.
- An ADR body, if the operator names a dispute resolution provider in its terms. The name must come from the terms, not from a search engine.
Each step only works if the previous one was documented. Without a case number, step three has no substance.
What to assemble first
| Evidence | Why it is essential |
|---|---|
| Transaction confirmation | Reference, date, amount — without it the case is a recollection |
| Screenshots | Error message, balance state, cashier screen with a date |
| Promotion terms | Saved on the day of claiming, because wording gets amended |
| Chat transcript | Saved before the conversation window closes |
| Case numbers | The chronology of the matter at escalation |
The most common subjects of dispute
- A held withdrawal. Usually incomplete verification or a data mismatch; check that before writing, because it is normally self-fixable. The process is on the withdrawal page.
- A voided bonus. Typically a max-bet breach during wagering or play on a restricted title — see bonus terms.
- A blocked account. Suspected duplication, a mismatch against the document, or prior self-exclusion.
- A payment that never arrived. Frequently the cause is outside the casino: payment providers must refuse payments to an entity listed in the register kept by the Minister of Finance.
How to write a complaint that works
One sentence describing the problem. Then facts in chronological order with dates and amounts. Then a reference to a specific clause of the terms, if you know it. Finally one precisely worded request: pay out a stated amount, unblock the account, restore the bonus balance. No emotion, no threats, no repetition. A complaint in that form is simply easier to process than a long account of disappointment — and that usually decides the pace.
What not to do
Do not file a card chargeback as a way of recovering gambling losses — chargebacks exist for undelivered goods and fraud, and attempting one against an operator normally ends with a closed account and a frozen balance. Do not open a second account in place of a blocked one. Do not hand login details to anyone promising on social media to recover your funds — that is the most common scam aimed at players in dispute, and it is also covered on the mirrors page.
Realistic expectations
A foreign regulator will consider a complaint under its own rules and at its own pace, and its decisions are not enforceable in Poland. Some cases settle, some end in nothing. That is not a reason to skip the attempt — it is a reason to factor the asymmetry into how much you leave sitting in an account. Contact channels and ticket preparation are covered on the support page.
